Possible Causes

Child lock feature enabled, Stuck control buttons, Faulty touch panel interpreting constant key press, Control board firmware glitch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: This is a control feature, not an electrical hazard. No need to unplug unless removing panels.

Steps to resolve:

  • Disable lock: On most BODEGA wine coolers, press and hold the lock key (or both up/down temperature keys) for 3–5 seconds until the lock icon disappears and L1 clears. Refer to your user manual for the exact key combination.
  • Clean control surface: Wipe the touch panel with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use excessive liquid cleaners that can seep into the panel and cause false touches.
  • Power reset: If the lock will not disengage, unplug the unit for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try the unlock sequence again.
  • Inspect for stuck buttons: If physical buttons are used, check for debris or sticky residue around the keys. Clean carefully with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

When to call a professional: If the panel remains locked despite correct key presses and power reset, the touch control panel or main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
