Possible Causes
Child lock feature engaged, Stuck or shorted keypad button, Firmware glitch, Faulty control panel PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal work is needed initially; only unplug if removing panels.
- Disable child lock: On many Candy models, press and hold the temperature up and down buttons together for 3–5 seconds to toggle the lock. Refer to the user manual for the exact combination.
- Check for stuck buttons: Press each button individually to ensure it moves freely and is not jammed.
- Power reset: Unplug the cooler for 5 minutes, then reconnect and test controls.
- If still locked or E15 persists: Remove the control panel and inspect the "Control panel / keypad PCB" for moisture or damage. Replace the panel if necessary.
- PCB replacement: If a new panel does not resolve the issue, replace the "Main control board (PCB)".
