Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between control panel and main PCB, Moisture ingress into touch panel, Failed touch keypad PCB, Faulty main control board interface
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing the control panel.
- Access control panel: Remove the screws around the display/control area (often on the door frame or behind trim). Carefully pull the panel forward.
- Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat cable or harness between the display board and main PCB is fully seated and not damaged. Reseat both ends.
- Inspect for moisture: Look for condensation or liquid traces on the keypad board. Dry gently with a lint-free cloth and allow to air dry completely.
- Visual inspection: Check for burnt components or cracked solder joints on the display/keypad PCB.
- Test operation: Reconnect power with the panel still accessible (avoid touching live parts) and test buttons. If still faulty, replace the "Control panel / display PCB".
- If new panel does not fix: The main PCB communication circuit may be defective. Replace the "Main control board (PCB)".
