Possible Causes

Moisture ingress into control panel, Damaged touch membrane, Loose ribbon cable to main PCB, Control lock feature enabled

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.

Steps:

  • Check for control lock: Many Cavin models have a child lock. Hold the lock/unlock button (often 3–5 seconds) to toggle it.
  • Dry the panel: If condensation or spills reached the panel, allow it to dry completely. Do not use excessive heat.
  • Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front bezel and gently pull the control module forward. Reseat the ribbon cable or harness connecting it to the main PCB.

Repair: If specific buttons remain nonfunctional, replace the touch control panel or keypad assembly. If no buttons work despite a good panel, the main control board may be faulty.
