Possible Causes
Cabinet temperature above alarm threshold, Open-circuit NTC sensor, Door left open, Failed evaporator fan or compressor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before internal inspection.
Steps:
- Door and load check: Ensure the door is fully closing and the unit is not overloaded, blocking airflow.
- Ambient conditions: Verify the cooler is not installed in a very hot environment beyond its rated ambient temperature.
- Sensor and wiring: Inspect the cabinet sensor and its wiring for disconnection or damage. An open sensor can cause a constant Hi reading.
- Cooling system: Confirm the compressor and fans run. If they do not, follow relevant error code or mechanical fault diagnostics.
Repair: Replace an open or damaged NTC sensor. If the cooling system is not operating, further diagnosis of the compressor, start device, and control board is required.
