Possible Causes

Shorted lower temperature sensor, Main PCB output stuck on, Incorrect lower zone setpoint, Faulty thermostat calibration

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before internal checks.

Steps:

  • Check set temperature: Ensure the lower zone is not set to an unusually low value.
  • Inspect lower sensor: Access the lower NTC sensor and verify it is not damaged or submerged in condensate. Reseat its connector at the PCB.
  • Compare with thermometer: Place a thermometer in the lower zone to confirm actual temperature versus display.

Repair: Replace the lower NTC sensor if readings are inaccurate or resistance tests show a short. If overcooling continues, the main control board may have a stuck output and should be replaced.
