Possible Causes

Failed main PCB relay, Blown internal fuse on control board, Faulty door switch preventing operation, Loose wiring harness

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the wine cooler before opening any panels. Capacitors on the control board can hold charge; avoid touching bare solder joints.

Steps:

  • Check door switch: Locate the door switch (usually near the top frame). Press it manually with the door open and listen for fans or compressor starting. A failed switch can prevent operation.
  • Inspect power connections: Remove the rear panel and verify the main power harness is firmly connected to the control board.
  • Look for fuses: Some Cavin boards have a small glass or soldered fuse. If visibly blown, the board may need replacement (do not bypass the fuse).

Repair: Replace a faulty door switch if it does not change the interior light or fan behavior when pressed. If power is present but the board does not energize the compressor or fans, replace the main control board.
