How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Immediately unplug the CELLA wine cooler if you smell burning or see smoke. Do not continue to operate until inspected.
- Inspect rear compartment: After cooling, remove the rear panel and look for burnt wiring, melted plastic, or discoloration around the compressor start components and control box.
- Check start relay: Replace any burnt or cracked compressor start relay and overload protector.
- Inspect wiring harness: Repair or replace any charred or melted wiring using proper connectors and insulation.
- Control board: If the smell originates from the control box, replace the main control board.
- Dust on coil: If the smell is mild and occurs only briefly on first use, it may be dust burning off the condenser. Clean the coil thoroughly.
