Chemical or burning smell when the unit is running

Safety: Immediately unplug the CELLA wine cooler if you smell burning or see smoke. Do not continue to operate until inspected.

• Inspect rear compartment: After cooling, remove the rear panel and look for burnt wiring, melted plastic, or discoloration around the compressor start components and control box.
• Check start relay: Replace any burnt or cracked compressor start relay and overload protector.
• Inspect wiring harness: Repair or replace any charred or melted wiring using proper connectors and insulation.
• Control board: If the smell originates from the control box, replace the main control board.
• Dust on coil: If the smell is mild and occurs only briefly on first use, it may be dust burning off the condenser. Clean the coil thoroughly.
