Possible Causes
Failed cabinet NTC temperature sensor, Broken or loose sensor harness, Corroded sensor connector on main PCB, Main control board input circuit fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the CELLA wine cooler from the wall outlet before removing any panels. Do not work on live wiring.
- Power reset: Unplug the unit for 5 minutes, then plug it back in to see if E0 clears. If it returns, continue.
- Access the sensor: Remove the interior shelves and the rear inner panel (usually held by Phillips screws) to expose the evaporator area. The cabinet temperature sensor is typically a small probe (NTC) clipped to the evaporator or mounted on the liner with two thin wires leading to the harness.
- Inspect wiring: Check the sensor wires for cuts, pinches, or burn marks. Ensure the sensor connector is fully seated on the main wiring harness and not corroded.
- Test the sensor: With the unit unplugged, disconnect the sensor from the harness and measure resistance with a multimeter. Compare the reading to the CELLA service chart (commonly ~5–10 kΩ at room temperature). If it is open (infinite) or shorted (near 0 Ω), the sensor is bad.
- Replace if faulty: Install a new CELLA cabinet NTC temperature sensor, routing the wires along the original path and securing them away from sharp metal and the evaporator fins.
- Check the main PCB: If the sensor tests good but E0 persists, inspect the main control board for burnt components or damaged sensor input pins. Replacement of the CELLA main control board may be required.
