Possible Causes
Blocked condenser airflow, Failed condenser fan, High ambient temperature around unit, Faulty compressor thermal protector or current sensor on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and allow the compressor to cool before touching it.
- Check installation: Ensure there is adequate clearance around the CELLA wine cooler (typically at least several centimeters on sides and back) for ventilation.
- Clean condenser: Remove rear lower panel and clean the condenser coil thoroughly with a brush and vacuum.
- Verify condenser fan: Confirm the condenser fan motor runs whenever the compressor is on. Replace if not operating.
- Inspect compressor temperature: If the compressor is extremely hot to the touch, the thermal protector may be tripping. Allow it to cool and see if E11 clears after cleaning and improving airflow.
- Control board sensor: If airflow is good and the compressor is not overheating but E11 persists, the current/temperature sensing circuit on the main control board may be faulty and require replacement.
