Possible Causes
Refrigerant leak in evaporator or tubing, Restricted capillary tube, Weak compressor, Faulty sealed system pressure sensor (if equipped)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Critical safety: The sealed refrigeration system contains high-pressure refrigerant. Do not cut or open any sealed lines unless you are a certified refrigeration technician with proper equipment.
- Visual inspection: Unplug the unit and remove the interior rear panel. Look for oily residue on the evaporator or tubing, which indicates a refrigerant leak.
- Check frost pattern: After reassembling and powering the unit, observe the evaporator after 15–20 minutes of run time. A partial frost pattern (only at the inlet) suggests low charge or restriction.
- Listen to compressor: Confirm the compressor runs continuously when cooling is demanded. If it cycles off quickly with E12, the system may be under abnormal pressure.
- Do not attempt DIY recharge: CELLA sealed systems require specific refrigerant and charging procedures. Contact a qualified technician to locate leaks, repair, evacuate, and recharge the system.
- Component replacement: If a pressure sensor is used and diagnosed as faulty by a technician, it may be replaced along with any leaking components.
