Possible Causes
Failed condenser fan motor, Blocked condenser coil causing overheat, Faulty high-temperature sensor on condenser, Main control board fan output failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and pull the CELLA wine cooler away from the wall for rear access.
- Inspect condenser area: Remove the rear lower panel. Check the condenser fan and coil for heavy dust, pet hair, or obstructions.
- Clean the condenser: Use a soft brush and vacuum to clean the condenser coil thoroughly. Ensure airflow is not blocked by objects behind or under the unit.
- Check fan operation: Spin the condenser fan blades by hand; they should move freely. If stiff or seized, replace the CELLA condenser fan motor.
- Test fan motor: With the unit unplugged, measure resistance across the fan leads. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Replace as needed.
- Inspect wiring and sensor: Verify the condenser fan connector and any attached high-temp sensor are secure and undamaged.
- Control board: If the fan motor is good but never receives power when the compressor runs, the main control board may have a failed fan output and need replacement.
