Possible Causes

Failed lower zone NTC sensor, Sensor knocked out of position by bottles, Broken sensor harness, Faulty lower zone input on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before removing any interior panels.

  • Access lower sensor: Remove lower zone shelves and the rear interior panel. Locate the lower zone temperature sensor probe.
  • Check for displacement: Ensure the sensor has not been pulled out of its holder by bottle contact. Reinsert and secure it if necessary.
  • Inspect wiring: Examine the sensor cable for cuts or pinches, especially where it passes through the liner. Reseat the connector on the harness and main board.
  • Test sensor: Use a multimeter to measure resistance and compare to CELLA's NTC chart. Replace the lower zone NTC temperature sensor if out of spec.
  • Control board: If a new sensor does not clear E8, the lower zone circuit on the main control board may need replacement.
