Possible Causes

Shorted cabinet temperature sensor, Stuck compressor relay on main board, Incorrect temperature setting, Faulty main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before testing sensors or boards.

  • Verify settings: Check that the set temperature on the CELLA display is appropriate for wine (typically 10–14°C for reds, 5–10°C for whites).
  • Check sensor: Access the cabinet temperature sensor and test its resistance. A shorted sensor can cause the board to think the cabinet is warm and overcool. Replace the cabinet NTC temperature sensor if readings are out of spec.
  • Observe compressor: If the compressor runs almost constantly even when the interior is very cold, the compressor relay on the main control board may be stuck closed. Replace the board if confirmed.
  • Reposition bottles: Avoid placing bottles directly against the evaporator panel where temperatures are lowest.
