How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before removing interior panels or accessing wiring.

Steps:

Verify setpoints: Confirm that each zone is set to the desired temperature and that the display corresponds to the correct zone.
Check airflow paths: Inspect the divider and vents between zones for obstructions. Ensure any motorized baffles move freely.
Inspect zone fans: Some EdgeStar dual-zone models use separate fans for each zone. Verify both fans are operating.
Check sensor wiring: If zones appear reversed, the thermistor connectors may be swapped on the control board. Compare wiring to the service diagram and correct if necessary.
Control board configuration: If wiring is correct but behavior is abnormal, the control board may be misconfigured or faulty and may require replacement.

Note: Refer to your model’s wiring diagram (often on the rear panel) to correctly identify zone sensors and fans.

Dual-zone wine cooler shows large temperature difference between zones or zones are reversed (upper colder than lower, etc.).
