Possible Causes
Cabinet thermistor reading open or very high, Door left open, Failed compressor or start components, Evaporator fan not running
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before accessing internal components.
Steps:
- Check door and environment: Ensure the door is fully closed and the unit is not installed in a very hot room. Allow several hours after initial startup for cooling.
- Verify compressor operation: Briefly plug in and listen for the compressor and condenser fan. If silent, inspect the start relay and overload as in the E3 procedure.
- Inspect cabinet thermistor: If the display shows Hi even when the interior feels cool, the thermistor may be open. Test and replace as needed.
- Check evaporator fan: If the compressor runs but the interior remains warm, ensure the evaporator fan is operating and circulating air.
Warning: If the compressor is hot to the touch and not running, or if you suspect a sealed system issue, contact a professional technician.
