Possible Causes

Aging thermistor, Poor sensor placement, Control board calibration drift, Air stratification due to fan issues

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before moving sensors or accessing the control board.

Steps:

  • Verify with multiple thermometers: Place at least two accurate thermometers on different shelves to confirm actual temperatures.
  • Adjust loading and airflow: Ensure vents are not blocked and the fan is operating to minimize hot and cold spots.
  • Inspect sensor placement: Confirm the cabinet thermistor is in a representative location, not directly in front of the fan or against the wall.
  • Replace thermistor: If the display remains consistently off by a large margin, replace the cabinet temperature sensor.
  • Control board replacement: If a new sensor does not correct the reading, the control board’s calibration may be off and require replacement.

Tip: Some minor variation (1–2°F) between display and actual temperature is normal.
