Possible Causes
Internal failure of main control board, Surge or lightning damage, Corrupted control firmware, Shorted component on board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before touching any internal components.
- Power cycle: Unplug the wine cooler for at least 10 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge. Plug back in and see if F1 returns.
- Inspect board: Remove the rear panel and visually inspect the main control board for burnt spots, bulging capacitors, or damaged components.
- Check for shorts: Look for any wires that may be shorting to the cabinet or each other, especially near the compressor, fans, and lights.
- Replace board: If F1 persists and no external shorts are found, replace the main control board with the correct GE Profile part number. Label and transfer each connector one at a time to avoid miswiring.
