Possible Causes

Shorted interior light, Failed evaporator or condenser fan motor, Open fan circuit, Burnt output transistor on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before working on lights or fans.

  • Check interior light: Remove the light cover and inspect the LED module or bulb. If it is dark or flickering, disconnect it and see if F2 clears after a power reset. Replace the light assembly if shorted.
  • Test fans: Access the evaporator fan (inside behind rear panel) and condenser fan (rear bottom). Spin blades by hand; they should move freely. Replace any seized or noisy fan motors.
  • Measure fan voltage (advanced): With the unit powered and calling for cooling, carefully measure voltage at the fan connectors (use proper safety precautions). If no voltage is present and wiring is intact, the control board output may be failed.
  • Replace control board: If a known good fan or light does not operate and wiring is good, replace the main control board.
