Possible Causes

Thermistor reading out of calibration, Poor sensor placement or not contacting surface, Control board misinterpreting sensor values, Wiring resistance added by poor connections

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before handling sensors or boards.

  • Verify with thermometer: Place an accurate thermometer inside the wine cooler and compare to the displayed temperature. Note the difference.
  • Inspect sensor placement: Ensure cabinet and evaporator thermistors are properly mounted in their clips or housings and not dangling in free air where they may read incorrectly.
  • Check connections: Reseat thermistor connectors on the main control board. Clean any corrosion.
  • Replace suspect thermistor: If one zone or area is consistently off, replace the corresponding thermistor.
  • Board replacement: If new sensors do not correct the error and F3 persists, the main control board may require replacement.
