Advertisements
Possible Causes
Burned out LED module or bulb, Failed door switch, Loose light wiring, Faulty control board light output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before replacing any light components.
- Check control settings: Some GE Profile models allow disabling the interior light. Ensure the light is not turned off in the settings.
- Test door switch: Press the door switch manually (if visible) and see if the light comes on. If not, test the switch for continuity and replace if faulty.
- Replace light assembly: Remove the light lens and replace the LED module or bulb with the correct GE part.
- Inspect wiring: If a new light does not work, check wiring from the light to the control board. If wiring is intact, the board’s light output may be failed and the board will need replacement.
