Wine cooler not cooling at all, interior at room temperature, display may still light

Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before accessing the compressor or control board. High voltage is present.

• Listen for operation: Plug in the unit and listen for compressor and fan noise. If only lights are on and no humming or fan noise is heard, suspect a control or start issue.
• Check outlet and cord: Verify the outlet has power and the cord is firmly plugged in and undamaged.
• Inspect start relay/overload: Remove the rear panel, then remove the start device from the compressor. Shake it gently; if it rattles or shows burn marks, replace it.
• Control board output (advanced): With proper precautions, check if the control board is sending power to the compressor when cooling is requested. If not, and other components are good, replace the main control board.
• Compressor failure: If the compressor receives proper voltage but does not start or trips the overload, the compressor may be locked or failed. This requires professional sealed system service.
