Possible Causes
Dirty condenser coil, Failed condenser fan motor, Low refrigerant charge due to leak, Weak compressor, Door gasket leaking warm air
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before cleaning coils or accessing the compressor compartment.
- Check temperature setting: Confirm the set temperature is low enough for proper wine storage.
- Clean condenser: Remove the rear lower panel and vacuum dust and lint from the condenser coil and surrounding area. Use a soft brush to avoid bending fins.
- Verify condenser fan: With power restored, observe the condenser fan when the compressor is running. If the fan does not run or is noisy, replace the condenser fan motor.
- Inspect door gasket: Close the door on a sheet of paper and gently pull. If it slides out easily, the gasket may not be sealing. Replace the door gasket if worn or warped.
- Persistent warm temps: If the compressor runs continuously, coils are clean, and fans work but the cabinet remains warm, a sealed system issue (refrigerant leak or weak compressor) is likely. This requires a certified refrigeration technician.
