Door does not close properly or pops open slightly after closing

Safety: Have someone assist when adjusting doors to prevent dropping.

• Check for obstructions: Ensure shelves and bottles are not protruding and hitting the door.
• Level the cabinet: Adjust leveling feet so the unit is stable and slightly tilts back to help the door close.
• Inspect hinges: Tighten hinge screws and adjust the door position if slotted holes are provided.
• Examine gasket: Look for twisted or compressed sections. Warm the gasket gently with a hair dryer and reshape if needed.
• Replace gasket if necessary: Install a genuine Hotpoint door gasket if the original cannot be restored.
