E11 displayed, interior light may flicker or stay on, door alarm may sound incorrectly

Safety: Unplug the appliance before working on the light assembly.

• Check light behavior: Note if the light is stuck on, off, or flickering when the door is opened and closed.
• Inspect LED module: Remove the light cover inside the cabinet. Look for burn marks or discoloration on the LED board.
• Test door switch: Ensure the door switch operates correctly, as a stuck switch can confuse the light circuit.
• Disconnect light module: Temporarily unplug the LED module from its connector. Restore power briefly to see if E11 clears (then unplug again). If the error disappears, the light module is likely faulty.
• Replace LED light module: Install a Hotpoint-compatible LED assembly. Do not substitute with non-rated parts, as heat and voltage must match.
• If E11 remains with light disconnected: The light driver on the main control board may be damaged and the board may need replacement by a technician.
