Safety: Unplug the unit before testing sensors or boards.

• Verify setpoint: Confirm the temperature setting is appropriate for wine (typically 5–18°C depending on type).
• Check with a thermometer: Place an accurate thermometer inside to compare actual temperature to the display.
• Inspect and test sensor: Access the cabinet NTC sensor and measure its resistance. Compare to the Hotpoint chart. Replace if readings are incorrect.
• Check wiring for shorts: Look for sensor wires pinched together or contacting metal, which can simulate a very cold reading.
• If sensor is good: The main control board may be misreading temperature or stuck in cooling mode. Board replacement is recommended via a qualified technician.
