Possible Causes
Moisture under touch panel, Loose ribbon cable, Failed touch sensor PCB, Static damage to control electronics
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before removing the control panel.
Steps:
- 1. Clean and dry surface: Wipe the control panel with a dry, soft cloth. If it was recently cleaned with liquid, allow time for moisture to evaporate.
- 2. Power reset: Unplug the unit for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in and test the buttons.
- 3. Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel bezel and check the ribbon cable connection between the touch panel and main board. Reseat the cable.
- 4. Check for damage: Look for cracks or corrosion on the touch PCB. If damaged, replace the entire control panel assembly.
- 5. Replace main board if needed: If a known-good panel still does not respond, the main control board may be faulty and require replacement.
