Possible Causes
Aging or drifted thermistor, Sensor not in correct location, Electrical noise or poor grounding, Control board ADC error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before accessing sensors or the control board.
Steps:
- 1. Verify with a reference thermometer: Place a reliable thermometer in the center of the cabinet and compare readings over several hours.
- 2. Inspect sensor placement: Ensure the cabinet thermistor is mounted where it can sense average air temperature, not directly against the evaporator or near the door.
- 3. Replace thermistor: If the display is consistently off by several degrees, replace the cabinet temperature sensor with a new Kalamera-compatible thermistor.
- 4. Check wiring and grounding: Inspect sensor wiring for damage and ensure the control board is properly grounded to the chassis.
- 5. Control board replacement: If a new sensor does not correct the issue, the analog-to-digital converter on the main board may be faulty and the board should be replaced.
