Safety warning: Unplug the wine cooler before accessing the compressor compartment. The compressor and associated wiring carry line voltage.

Steps:

• 1. Listen for compressor behavior: When powered, you may hear a click and brief hum followed by another click. This often indicates the overload protector is tripping.
• 2. Access compressor area: Remove the rear lower panel to expose the compressor, start relay/PTC, overload protector, and condenser fan.
• 3. Inspect condenser fan: Ensure the fan runs freely and is not obstructed. Replace the fan motor if it is seized or not running when the compressor is commanded on.
• 4. Check start relay/PTC: Remove the start device from the compressor terminals. Shake it gently; if it rattles or shows burn marks, it is likely failed. Test with a multimeter if specifications are available.
• 5. Replace start components: Install a new compressor start relay/PTC and overload protector specified for your Kalamera model. Ensure tight connections on the compressor terminals.
• 6. Test compressor: Reassemble the rear panel, restore power, and monitor. If the compressor still fails to start and CF persists, the compressor itself may be locked or internally damaged.
• 7. Call a professional for compressor replacement: Compressor or sealed system replacement requires specialized tools and EPA certification; contact a licensed refrigeration technician.
