Possible Causes
Burned-out LED light module, Faulty door switch, Loose light wiring connector, Failed light driver circuit on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before working on the light or door switch.
Steps:
- 1. Check light settings: Some Kalamera models allow turning the light off via the control panel. Ensure it is not simply disabled.
- 2. Test door switch: Open and close the door while listening for a click from a mechanical switch or watching for any change on the display. If the door switch is not signaling open/close, replace it.
- 3. Access light module: Remove the interior light cover (usually clipped or screwed in place). Inspect the LED module and wiring for damage.
- 4. Voltage check (advanced): With the unit plugged in and door open, carefully measure voltage at the light connector (use insulated probes). If proper voltage is present but the light is off, replace the LED module.
- 5. Replace light module: Install a new LED light assembly compatible with your Kalamera model. Reattach the cover securely.
- 6. Control board check: If there is no voltage at the light connector and the door switch is good, the light driver on the control board may be failed and the board may need replacement.
