Possible Causes

Defective NTC temperature sensor in wine compartment, Broken or corroded sensor wiring harness, Loose sensor connector on main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the wine cooler from the mains before removing panels or touching wiring. Use insulated tools and avoid working on a wet floor.

Step-by-step checks:

  • 1. Power reset: Disconnect power for 5 minutes, then reconnect. If F0 reappears within a few minutes, continue with diagnosis.
  • 2. Locate the cabinet sensor: Inside the wine compartment, look for a small plastic cover or probe on the rear or side wall (often near the middle shelf). On some Liebherr models it is behind a small plastic grille.
  • 3. Inspect the sensor and wiring: Remove the cover carefully. Check that the sensor probe is intact and the wires are not pinched, cut, or corroded. Reseat the connector if accessible.
  • 4. Test the sensor (if you have a multimeter): Disconnect the sensor from the harness and measure resistance at room temperature. Typical NTC values are in the 5–20 kΩ range at ~25°C (exact value depends on model). If the reading is open (infinite) or shorted (near 0 Ω), the sensor is faulty.
  • 5. Replace the sensor: Order a Liebherr-compatible cabinet NTC sensor using the model and service number from the rating plate. Remove the old sensor, route the new sensor along the same path, and connect it firmly to the harness.
  • 6. Reassemble and test: Refit covers, restore power, clear the alarm by pressing the alarm/OK key (if present), and monitor temperature for several hours.

When to call a technician: If the sensor tests good but F0 persists, the main control board may be defective and should be diagnosed by a qualified technician.
