Possible Causes
Shorted temperature sensor, Stuck relay on main control board, Incorrect temperature setting or demo mode disabled incorrectly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors or the control board.
Steps:
- 1. Verify settings: Check that the set temperature is appropriate for wine storage (typically 5–20°C depending on zone). Adjust if necessary.
- 2. Reset electronics: Disconnect power for 5 minutes, then reconnect and re-enter desired settings.
- 3. Check cabinet sensor: If overcooling persists, test the cabinet NTC sensor for correct resistance. A shorted sensor will make the control think the cabinet is warmer than it is.
- 4. Inspect control board: Look for a relay that appears stuck or burnt. If the compressor runs continuously regardless of temperature, the relay may be welded closed.
- 5. Replace faulty parts: Replace the temperature sensor or main control board as required. Board replacement should be done by a professional.
Note: Prolonged overcooling can damage wine; move valuable bottles to a stable environment until the fault is corrected.
