Possible Causes
Blocked condensate drain hole, Drain tube kinked or disconnected, High humidity entering through leaking door gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before working inside. Use caution with water near electrical parts.
Steps:
- 1. Locate drain hole: Inside the cabinet, find the small drain hole or channel at the rear bottom area.
- 2. Clear blockage: Use a soft pipe cleaner or flexible plastic rod to gently clear any debris or mold from the drain hole.
- 3. Check drain tube: From the rear, locate the drain tube leading to the evaporation tray above the compressor. Ensure it is not kinked or disconnected.
- 4. Clean evaporation tray: Empty and clean the tray if overflowing. Ensure it is correctly positioned.
- 5. Inspect door gasket: Replace if leaking, as excess warm moist air increases condensation.
