Possible Causes
Failed zone-specific evaporator fan, Blocked air duct between zones, Faulty zone temperature sensor, Zone valve or damper stuck (if equipped)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Disconnect power before accessing internal ducts or fans.
- Compare zones: Note which zone is not cooling. Listen for fan noise in both zones.
- Inspect fan and ducts: Remove the interior panel for the affected zone and check the Luma zone evaporator fan and air ducts for obstructions or ice.
- Test sensor: Check the zone’s temperature sensor for secure mounting and proper resistance. Replace if faulty.
- Damper/valve: On models with a mechanical damper between zones, ensure it moves freely and is not stuck closed.
If one zone’s cooling hardware (fan, sensor) is failed, replacing those components usually restores proper dual-zone operation.
