Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Unplug the cooler before removing the control panel or top cover.
E7 indicates the main board is not communicating properly with the user interface.
- Access the control panel: Remove the screws securing the top/front trim to expose the control panel and ribbon cable.
- Inspect the ribbon cable: Gently disconnect and reconnect the flat cable between the display/touchpad and the main control board. Ensure it is fully seated and not kinked or torn.
- Check for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or liquid intrusion on the control PCB. Dry gently with a soft cloth if needed.
- Visual inspection: Examine both boards for burn marks or corrosion at the connectors.
- Replace faulty parts: If the touch panel is unresponsive or physically damaged, replace it with a Luma control panel assembly. If E7 persists with a new panel, the main control board may need replacement.
After reseating cables and replacing parts, restore power and verify that all buttons and display segments function normally.
