Possible Causes
Incorrect temperature setting, Faulty temperature sensor reading too high, Stuck relay on control board keeping compressor on, Door gasket leaking causing overcooling
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Unplug before panel removal, but you can adjust settings with power on.
- Verify setpoint: Confirm the temperature setting is appropriate for wine (typically 40–65°F / 5–18°C). Adjust upward if set too low.
- Check sensor placement: If the cabinet sensor is hanging loose or touching a warm wall, it may misread and overcool. Reposition or replace the Luma cabinet temperature sensor if needed.
- Observe compressor cycling: The compressor should cycle on and off. If it runs continuously, the control board relay may be stuck closed and the board may need replacement.
- Door seal: A leaking gasket can cause the unit to run excessively. Inspect and replace the Luma door gasket if it is torn or warped.
After corrections, allow several hours for temperature to stabilize and confirm the L1 alarm does not recur.
