Possible Causes

Faulty door switch or reed sensor, Misaligned door magnet, Shorted light relay on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Unplug the cooler before working on the switch or control board.

  • Check door closure: Confirm the door is fully closing and the gasket is not preventing contact with the frame.
  • Test door switch: Locate the switch or reed sensor and test continuity while opening and closing the door (or moving a magnet). Replace the Luma door switch if it does not change state.
  • Control board: If the switch tests good but the light remains on, the light relay on the main board may be stuck. Replace the Luma main control board.
  • Temporary workaround: Remove the interior light bulb or disconnect the light connector until proper repairs are made.
