How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before removing the control panel or handling wiring.
Steps to restore control panel function:
- Clean the panel: Wipe the touch surface with a soft cloth slightly dampened with mild soap solution. Dry thoroughly. Do not allow liquid to seep into the panel edges.
- Power reset: Unplug the unit for 10 minutes, then plug back in and test the buttons.
- Access control panel: Remove screws securing the front/top control panel and gently pull it out to expose the keypad board and ribbon cable.
- Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat cable is fully seated in its connectors and not damaged. Reseat if necessary.
- Replace keypad board: If buttons remain unresponsive, replace the NewAir touch keypad / display board with the correct part for your model.
Note: Avoid pressing buttons with sharp objects or excessive force, as this can damage the touch sensors.
