Possible Causes

Shorted LED light module, Damaged light wiring harness, Failed light driver circuit on main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the cooler before working on the light or wiring. LED modules operate at low voltage but are powered from mains circuitry.

Steps to address F2:

  • Check light behavior: Note whether the interior light is stuck on, will not turn on, or flickers when F2 appears.
  • Inspect LED module: Remove the light cover inside the cabinet and inspect the LED module for burn marks or discoloration.
  • Check wiring: Follow the light wires to their connector. Look for pinched or cut wires, especially where they pass through the liner.
  • Disconnect light module: With power unplugged, disconnect the LED module from the harness. Restore power briefly to see if F2 clears without the light connected (do this only if you are comfortable; otherwise, skip and call a technician).
  • Replace faulty LED module: If F2 clears when the light is disconnected, replace the NewAir LED light module and reconnect.
  • Evaluate control board: If F2 persists even with the light disconnected and wiring intact, the light driver on the main control board may be defective. Replace the NewAir main control board (PCB) as needed.

Note: Do not bypass or jumper light circuits; this can damage the control board and create a fire hazard.
