Temperature displayed on the control panel does not match an independent thermometer placed inside the cabinet.

Possible Causes
Aging or drifting thermistor, Sensor placement too close to cold air outlet, Control board calibration drift
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before adjusting sensor placement or accessing the control board.
Steps to improve temperature accuracy:
- Verify with a reliable thermometer: Place a quality digital thermometer in the center of the cabinet away from walls and vents. Allow several hours for stabilization.
- Check sensor placement: Locate the cabinet thermistor and ensure it is not directly in the cold air stream or touching the evaporator. Reposition slightly if necessary.
- Replace aging sensor: If the displayed temperature is consistently off by more than a few degrees, replace the NewAir cabinet temperature sensor / thermistor.
- Compensate with setpoint: If replacement is not immediately possible and the difference is small, adjust the set temperature up or down to achieve the desired actual temperature.
Note: Some minor variation (1–3°F) between display and actual temperature is normal due to sensor location and cycling.
