Wine cooler cycles on and off rapidly; compressor starts and stops every few minutes without reaching stable temperature.

Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing the compressor compartment. Components can be hot.

Steps to reduce short cycling:

• Improve ventilation: Ensure at least 2–3 inches of clearance around the cooler and that vents are not blocked. For built-in models, confirm the front grille is unobstructed.
• Clean condenser: Remove the rear lower panel and clean dust from the condenser coil and fan area.
• Inspect start relay and overload: Remove the compressor terminal cover and check the relay/overload assembly for burn marks or loose connections.
• Replace relay/overload if suspect: Install a new NewAir compressor start relay and overload protector if the existing parts show signs of overheating or test out of spec.
• Monitor operation: Reassemble, restore power, and observe the compressor. It should run for longer, steady cycles rather than rapid on/off.

Note: If short cycling continues with a cool, well-ventilated compressor and new relay/overload, the main control board may be malfunctioning and should be replaced by a technician.
