Possible Causes
Failed capacitive touch PCB, Moisture behind glass control panel, Loose ribbon cable between panel and main board, Cracked front control glass or PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Dry the panel: If condensation is visible behind the glass, leave the unit unplugged with the door open for several hours to dry out the control area.
- Check ribbon cable: Remove the front control panel and inspect the flat ribbon cable. Reseat both ends and ensure there are no kinks or cracks.
- Clean contacts: Use electronic contact cleaner on the ribbon connectors if they appear oxidized.
- Inspect PCB: Look for cracks or burn marks on the touch PCB. If damaged, replace the entire touch control panel assembly.
- Reassemble carefully: Avoid overtightening screws that could stress the glass or PCB.
