Possible Causes
Failed ambient NTC sensor near condenser, Broken sensor harness near rear grille, Connector corrosion at main PCB, Sensor dislodged from its mounting point
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect mains power before working at the rear of the unit.
- Locate ambient sensor: On many Pevino wine coolers, the ambient NTC is mounted near the condenser coil or air intake at the rear or bottom of the cabinet.
- Clean area: Vacuum dust from the condenser and surrounding area to improve airflow and visibility.
- Inspect sensor and wiring: Ensure the sensor bulb is intact and firmly clipped in place. Check for frayed wires or rodent damage.
- Check connection: Follow the sensor wire to the main control board and reseat the connector.
- Replace sensor: If the E3 code persists, install a new ambient NTC sensor compatible with Pevino models, routing the wire away from hot compressor surfaces and moving fan blades.
