Possible Causes
Failed compressor start relay or PTC, Open thermal overload protector on compressor, Loose compressor wiring, Defective main control board compressor driver
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler. The compressor terminals carry mains voltage.
- Access compressor compartment: Remove the rear lower service panel to expose the compressor, start device, and wiring.
- Check wiring: Verify that all spade connectors on the compressor and start device are firmly attached and not heat-damaged.
- Inspect start relay/PTC: Remove the start device from the compressor pins and shake it gently. If it rattles excessively or shows burn marks, it is likely faulty.
- Test overload protector: With a multimeter, check continuity across the overload device. An open reading when cool indicates failure.
- Replace start components: Install a new compressor start relay/PTC and overload protector matched to the Pevino compressor model.
- Board check: If the compressor still does not receive power, test for voltage at the compressor output from the main control board. If absent, the main control board may need replacement.
