Possible Causes
Failed condenser fan motor, Obstruction by dust or debris, Loose or corroded fan connector, Main control board fan driver failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before working at the rear.
- Access condenser fan: Remove the rear lower panel to expose the condenser coil and fan assembly.
- Clean area: Vacuum dust from the condenser fins and fan blades. Ensure nothing is blocking rotation.
- Spin test: Rotate the fan by hand. If it feels rough or does not spin freely, the motor bearings may be worn.
- Check wiring: Confirm the fan connector is fully seated on the harness and free of corrosion.
- Test operation: After reapplying power, observe whether the fan starts when the compressor runs. If not, and voltage is present at the fan leads, replace the condenser fan motor.
- Board diagnosis: If no voltage is supplied to the fan, the main control board may be defective and require replacement.
