• Check condenser fan: Ensure the condenser fan runs when the compressor should be on. A non-running fan can cause overheating and compressor shutdown.
• Look for refrigerant leak signs: Oil stains around tubing or the evaporator area can indicate a leak.
• Professional diagnosis: If the compressor does not run with a known good start device, or if a sealed system leak is suspected, contact a licensed refrigeration technician. Compressor or sealed system repairs are not DIY-friendly.
