E01
Microwave will not start; display is on but START button does nothing, sometimes accompanied by a brief relay click.
Primary Door Interlock Switch Failure
E02
Microwave stops immediately when START is pressed, or stops mid-cycle when the door is slightly touched; sometimes accompanied by a door error beep.
Secondary Door Interlock / Monitor Switch Fault
E03
Microwave display and lights work, but when START is pressed there is no heating and no usual humming sound from inside; timer counts down normally.
High Voltage Circuit Not Energizing
E04
Microwave runs (light on, fan and turntable operating, normal humming sound) but food does not heat or heats very poorly.
Magnetron or High-Voltage Rectifier Failure
E05
Microwave stops heating after a few seconds and displays an error; fan may continue briefly, then unit shuts down.
Magnetron Overheat / Thermal Cut-Out Trip
E06
Microwave display shows an internal temperature or sensor error; cooking modes that rely on humidity or temperature sensing fail or abort.
Humidity / Steam Sensor or Cavity Temperature Sensor Fault
E07
Microwave displays a fan or ventilation error; cooling fan may run continuously or fail to start, and cooking may be disabled.
Ventilation / Cooling Fan Control Fault
E08
Microwave shows a turntable or motor error; the glass tray does not rotate during cooking, or rotation is jerky and noisy.
Turntable Drive Motor or Coupler Failure
E09
Microwave beeps and displays a door or latch error even though the door appears closed; unit will not start.
Door Latch Assembly Misalignment
E10
Microwave display is blank or flickering; unit may not respond to any buttons, or resets randomly during use.
Low-Voltage Power Supply / Control PCB Fault
E11
Microwave keypad or touch panel is unresponsive or only some buttons work; display may be normal.
Membrane Keypad / Touch Control Failure
E12
Microwave interior light does not turn on when cooking or when the door is opened, but the unit otherwise operates normally.
Cavity Lamp or Lamp Circuit Failure
E13
Microwave repeatedly blows the internal fuse or trips the household circuit breaker when starting a cooking cycle.
Short Circuit in High-Voltage or Mains Circuit
E14
Microwave fan and light come on as soon as the door is closed, or the unit attempts to run with the door open.
Door Interlock Circuit Miswiring or Stuck Relay
E15
Microwave displays a sensor or weight error when using auto-cook or auto-defrost functions; manual timed cooking works normally.
Auto-Cook Sensor Calibration / Fault
E16
Microwave shows a grill or convection heater error (on combination models); grill or convection modes do not heat, but standard microwave mode may still work.
Grill / Convection Heater Circuit Failure
E17
Microwave displays a clock or RTC error; time resets frequently or cannot be set correctly.
Real-Time Clock / Control Memory Fault
E18
Microwave displays an internal communication error; some functions may be disabled or the unit may reboot intermittently.
Control PCB Communication / Interface Fault
Symptom
Microwave cavity shows rust spots or peeling paint, especially on the floor or near the door edges.
Cavity Coating Degradation
Symptom
Microwave clock and settings reset whenever the door is opened or closed.
Door-Induced Power Interruption
Symptom
Microwave display and lights work, but pressing START produces a beep and no further action; timer does not count down.
Start Circuit / Control Logic Inhibit
Symptom
Microwave does not heat evenly; some areas of food are very hot while others remain cold.
Uneven Microwave Distribution
Symptom
Microwave door is difficult to open or does not open fully when the door button or handle is used.
Door Latch Release Mechanism Binding
Symptom
Microwave door will not stay closed or pops open during cooking.
Door Latch Retention Failure
Symptom
Microwave emits a burning smell or visible smoke from the interior during or after cooking.
Cavity Contamination or Component Overheating
Symptom
Microwave emits a strong chemical or plastic smell when new or after high-temperature use.
Off-gassing of New Components or Overheated Plastic
Symptom
Microwave interior light stays on even when the door is closed and no cooking is in progress.
Stuck Door Switch or Control Relay
Symptom
Microwave is unusually noisy with rattling or vibration sounds coming from the cabinet during operation.
Cabinet Vibration or Loose Internal Components
Symptom
Microwave keypad beeps randomly or buttons appear to press themselves without user input.
Keypad Short or Moisture Ingress
Symptom
Microwave makes a crackling or popping sound and visible sparks (arcing) appear inside the cavity during cooking.
Internal Arcing in Cavity or Waveguide
Symptom
Microwave makes a grinding, scraping, or clicking noise when the turntable rotates.
Turntable Support or Motor Drive Noise
Symptom
Microwave produces a high-pitched squeal or whine from the fan area during operation.
Cooling Fan or Convection Fan Bearing Wear
Symptom
Microwave runs but makes a loud buzzing or humming noise that is much louder than normal during cooking.
Magnetron or High-Voltage Transformer Mechanical Noise
Symptom
Microwave stops mid-cycle and resets or loses power briefly, then comes back on with the clock flashing.
Intermittent Power Loss
Symptom
Microwave takes much longer than usual to heat food; water test shows slow temperature rise.
Reduced Microwave Output
Symptom
Microwave will not start at all; display is off and no lights or sounds occur when buttons are pressed.
No Power / Dead Appliance
