High Voltage Circuit Failure
E04
Microwave stops and displays E04 shortly after starting, often accompanied by a humming noise and no heating.
Magnetron or Waveguide Fault
E05
Microwave display shows E05 and unit will not start; sometimes appears after a power surge or lightning storm.
Control PCB Communication or Power Supply Error
E06
Microwave shows E06 and may stop mid-cycle; grill or convection functions may be affected on combination models.
Temperature Sensor (NTC) Fault
E07
Turntable does not rotate and E07 appears on the display; heating may be uneven.
Turntable Motor or Position Sensor Error
E08
Microwave beeps and shows E08; keypad or touch controls may be unresponsive or behave erratically.
Keypad / Touch Control Panel Error
E09
Microwave shows E09 and will not start; interior light and fan may not operate.
Low Voltage Power Supply Fault
E10
On combination models, convection or grill functions fail and E10 is displayed; microwave-only mode may still work.
Heater Circuit Failure (Grill/Convection)
E11
Microwave stops with E11; fan may run continuously or not at all on some models.
Cooling Fan Feedback / Tachometer Error
E12
Microwave shows E12 and may shut down unexpectedly; often associated with long cooking times or high power.
Cavity Overtemperature Protection
E13
Microwave displays E13 and will not accept new programs; clock and basic display may still work.
EEPROM / Configuration Memory Error
E14
On models with steam or humidity sensing, E14 appears and auto-cook programs fail.
Humidity Sensor Fault
E15
Microwave shows E15 and may not start; door appears closed but unit thinks it is open.
Door Sense / Latch Error
E16
Microwave shows E16 and may shut down or refuse to start; often associated with fan or heater operation on combination models.
Internal Communication Error Between Boards
E17
Microwave displays E17 and stops; may be associated with inverter-type high-voltage systems on newer models.
Inverter High-Voltage Module Fault
E18
Microwave shows E18; interior light and display may flicker or dim during operation.
Input Voltage or Line Frequency Error
E19
Microwave shows E19 and may not respond to some buttons; display may freeze intermittently.
User Interface / Display Board Fault
E20
Microwave shows E20 and stops; fan may continue running for a while after error appears.
Overcurrent / Overload Protection Trip
Symptom
Microwave clock resets or display blinks after each use or when opening/closing the door.
Intermittent Power Loss to Control Board
Symptom
Microwave completely dead – no display, no light, no response when plugged in.
No Power – Primary Supply Failure
Symptom
Microwave continues to run (fan and turntable) after the timer reaches zero and beeps.
Stuck Relay or Control Logic Fault
Symptom
Microwave display is dim, flickering, or partially missing segments, but unit still operates.
Display Module Degradation
Symptom
Microwave display works but pressing START does nothing; no relay click, no fan or light.
Start Circuit / Relay Drive Fault
Symptom
Microwave door will not open; latch seems stuck and the door is jammed closed.
Door Latch Mechanism Jammed
Symptom
Microwave door will not stay closed or pops open during operation.
Door Latch Retention Failure
Symptom
Microwave emits a burning smell or smoke from vents during or after use.
Overheating or Component Burn
Symptom
Microwave emits a strong chemical or plastic smell when new or after high-temperature use.
Off-Gassing / Residue Burning
Symptom
Microwave fan runs loudly, rattles, or vibrates excessively during operation.
Cooling Fan Imbalance or Wear
Symptom
Microwave interior light comes on and timer counts down, but turntable does not rotate; heating may be uneven.
Turntable Drive Failure
Symptom
Microwave interior light does not come on when door opens or during cooking, but unit otherwise works.
Cavity Lamp Failure
Symptom
Microwave interior light stays on even when the door is closed and the unit is not running.
Stuck Door Switch or Relay
Symptom
Microwave interior light, fan, and turntable run, but food heats very slowly compared to normal.
Reduced Output – Weak Magnetron or Power Control Fault
Symptom
Microwave keypad buttons do not respond or require very hard pressing; some keys may work, others not.
Membrane Keypad Wear
Symptom
Microwave leaks water or condensation from the door or vents after cooking.
Condensation Management / Drainage Issue
Symptom
Microwave makes a grinding or scraping noise when the turntable rotates.
Turntable Support or Motor Noise
Symptom
Microwave makes crackling, popping, or arcing noises inside the cavity during operation; visible sparks may be seen.
Cavity Arcing / Waveguide Contamination
Symptom
Microwave makes loud buzzing or humming noise when running, louder than usual, with little or no heating.
High Voltage Component Short or Overload
Symptom
Microwave runs but does not heat food; turntable and light work normally, no error code displayed.
No Heating – High Voltage System Failure
Symptom
Microwave trips the household circuit breaker or blows the fuse as soon as START is pressed.
Short Circuit Under Load
Symptom
Microwave trips the RCD (residual current device) or GFCI outlet during or shortly after starting.
