AL
Display shows AL or an alarm icon; audible alarm sounds; temperature may be high or door may be open.
General Alarm Condition (Door or Temperature)
E1
Freezer display shows E1 and interior temperature is too high or fluctuates; compressor may run continuously.
Cabinet Temperature Sensor (NTC) Failure
E2
Freezer shows E2 and may not defrost properly; heavy ice buildup on evaporator or rear wall.
Evaporator Defrost Sensor (NTC) Failure
E3
Display shows E3; freezer may run erratically or not reach set temperature; sometimes interior fan behavior is abnormal.
Ambient / Room Temperature Sensor Failure
E4
Freezer shows E4 and may not defrost; ice accumulates on evaporator and rear wall, fan may become noisy or blocked by ice.
Defrost Heater or Defrost Circuit Failure
E5
Freezer shows E5; compressor may not start or may short-cycle; interior remains warm.
Compressor Start / Overload Protection Fault
E6
Display shows E6; interior fan may not run or runs intermittently; uneven temperature and frost buildup on evaporator.
Evaporator Fan Motor Fault
E7
Freezer shows E7; alarm may sound; temperature display may flash; unit may not cool properly.
Door / Lid Switch or Door Sensor Fault
E8
Display shows E8; compressor may not run; interior light and display may still work but no cooling occurs.
Main Control PCB Failure
E9
Freezer shows E9; high-temperature alarm may be active; compressor may run continuously with little cooling.
Refrigerant System / Low Cooling Capacity Fault (Detected by Control)
H1
Display shows H1 or a flashing high temperature icon; interior is warm and alarm sounds after a power outage or door left open.
High Temperature Alarm Condition
L1
Display shows L1 or a lock symbol; buttons do not respond to presses.
Control Panel Child Lock / Key Lock Activated
Symptom
Chest freezer lid will not stay open or slams shut unexpectedly.
Lid Hinge or Spring / Damper Failure
Symptom
Freezer baskets or drawers are difficult to slide, jam, or freeze in place.
Drawer / Basket Track Icing or Deformation
Symptom
Freezer cabinet or door vibrates excessively; unit seems to 'walk' or move slightly when compressor starts.
Cabinet Vibration / Installation Issue
Symptom
Freezer display is blank or flickering, but the compressor may still run.
Display PCB or Power Supply Fault
Symptom
Freezer door does not close or seal properly; visible gap between door gasket and cabinet.
Door Alignment / Hinge or Gasket Failure
Symptom
Freezer door is difficult to open immediately after closing; a vacuum seems to hold it shut.
Normal Pressure Equalization / Check Valve Behavior
Symptom
Freezer emits a persistent musty or moldy odor even after cleaning.
Microbial Growth in Cabinet or Drain System
Symptom
Freezer emits a strong chemical or burning smell during operation.
Electrical Overheating or Insulation Odor
Symptom
Freezer exterior side walls feel very hot to the touch, especially near the door frame.
Condenser Loop Heating / Poor Ventilation
Symptom
Freezer interior is too cold; items near the back are excessively frozen or frosted; temperature does not respond to control changes.
Overcooling / Thermostat or Sensor Out of Calibration
Symptom
Freezer interior light does not turn on when the door is opened, but cooling appears normal.
Interior Light Circuit Failure
Symptom
Freezer interior surfaces show rust spots or bubbling paint.
Cabinet Liner Corrosion
Symptom
Freezer interior temperature fluctuates widely; some days food is very hard, other days slightly soft, without user changes.
Intermittent Control or Sensor Fault
Symptom
Freezer is cooling but there is heavy frost or ice buildup on the interior walls, baskets, and around the door opening.
Excessive Frost / Moisture Ingress
Symptom
Freezer makes a gurgling or hissing sound periodically, even when the compressor cycles.
Refrigerant Flow Noise (Typically Normal)
Symptom
Freezer makes loud knocking, banging, or rattling noises during operation, especially when the compressor starts or stops.
Mechanical Vibration or Loose Components
Symptom
Freezer not cooling at all; interior light works but compressor and fan are not running; no error code displayed.
Main Power or Control Circuit Failure
Symptom
Freezer runs continuously but does not reach the set temperature; food is soft or partially thawed.
Insufficient Cooling / Loss of Refrigeration Capacity
Symptom
Freezer trips the household circuit breaker or RCD shortly after being plugged in.
Electrical Short or Earth Leakage
Symptom
Freezer will not start after being transported or moved; compressor does not run, but display may be on.
Post-Transport Oil Migration / Protection Delay
Symptom
High-pitched squealing or grinding noise from inside the freezer, often when the door is closed and the fan is running.
Evaporator Fan Motor Bearing Wear
Symptom
Water pooling at the bottom of the freezer compartment or leaking onto the floor in front of the unit.
Defrost Drain Blockage or Cabinet Leak
