E01
Microwave does not start; display works but cooking will not begin when pressing Start. Sometimes a brief click is heard and then nothing.
Door Interlock Safety Circuit Fault
E02
Microwave stops shortly after starting; display may show E02 and a beeping alarm. Fan may run briefly then shut off.
Magnetron Overheating / Thermal Cut-out Tripped
E03
Microwave runs (light and fan on, turntable may rotate) but food remains cold; E03 appears on the display after a short time.
Magnetron / High Voltage Circuit Failure
E04
Microwave does not heat and may stop with E04; a loud humming or buzzing noise is heard when attempting to cook.
High Voltage Short / Arcing in Waveguide
E05
Microwave stops during operation and displays E05; internal light and fan may continue briefly, then shut off.
Cavity Temperature Sensor Fault
E06
Display shows E06 and the microwave will not start; sometimes appears after a power surge or lightning storm.
Control PCB Communication / Internal Error
E07
Microwave does not heat and shows E07; grill function may still work on combination models.
Inverter Power Module Fault (Inverter Models)
E08
Microwave stops and displays E08; turntable and fan may stop abruptly during cooking.
Door Open Detection During Operation
E09
Microwave shows E09 and will not accept new settings; keypad may seem unresponsive or partially functional.
Touch Control Panel / Keypad Fault
E10
Microwave displays E10 and will not start; interior light and fan do not activate when Start is pressed.
Power Relay / Relay Driver Fault
E11
On combination/grill Balay microwaves, E11 appears when using grill or convection; heating stops prematurely.
Grill / Convection Heater Overheat or Sensor Fault
E12
Microwave shows E12 and beeps; clock and basic display work but cooking functions are locked out.
Child Lock / Safety Lock System Error
E13
On built-in Balay microwaves, E13 appears and the unit may shut down during long cooking cycles.
Built-in Installation Overheat Protection
E14
Microwave displays E14; interior light may stay on or off incorrectly, and the unit refuses to start.
Door Sensing / Light Circuit Error
E15
Microwave shows E15 and may emit a continuous or repeated beep; no cooking functions can be started.
Internal Self-Test Failure
Symptom
Condensation or moisture accumulates excessively on the door and control panel during normal use.
Ventilation / Steam Management Issue
Symptom
Microwave clock resets or display flickers when starting a cooking cycle.
Voltage Drop or Internal Power Supply Weakness
Symptom
Microwave continues to run (fan and turntable) after the timer reaches zero; may stop only when door is opened or unplugged.
Stuck Relay or Control Logic Fault
Symptom
Microwave display and clock are blank; unit appears completely dead and does not respond to any buttons.
No Power / Internal Fuse Blown
Symptom
Microwave display is on but buttons do not respond or respond only intermittently; no error code is shown.
Unresponsive Keypad / Control Panel
Symptom
Microwave door is difficult to open or sticks; the open button feels stiff or does not fully release the latch.
Door Release Mechanism Wear
Symptom
Microwave door will not latch properly; unit will not start and may show a door-related message but no code.
Door Latch Mechanism Misalignment
Symptom
Microwave emits a high-pitched squeal or whine during operation.
Magnetron or Transformer Acoustic Noise
Symptom
Microwave emits a strong burning or electrical smell during or after operation.
Overheating Component or Cavity Contamination
Symptom
Microwave exterior or control panel becomes very hot to the touch during normal use.
Insufficient Ventilation / Overheating
Symptom
Microwave interior light does not turn on when the door is opened or during cooking, but the unit heats normally.
Cavity Lamp Failure
Symptom
Microwave interior light turns on, but the turntable does not rotate during cooking.
Turntable Drive Failure
Symptom
Microwave is excessively noisy during operation; rattling, grinding, or scraping sounds are heard.
Mechanical Vibration or Fan/Turntable Noise
Symptom
Microwave light stays on even when the door is closed and no program is running.
Stuck Door Sensing Switch or Lamp Relay
Symptom
Microwave makes loud buzzing or humming noise during operation, louder than usual, sometimes accompanied by a burning smell.
High Voltage Component Overload or Short
Symptom
Microwave runs but does not heat; turntable rotates, light and fan operate, but food stays cold with no error code displayed.
General No-Heat Condition
Symptom
Microwave runs but food heats unevenly; some areas are very hot while others remain cold.
Uneven Heating / Standing Wave Pattern
Symptom
Microwave runs but the cooling fan does not operate; exterior surfaces become very hot.
Cooling Fan Failure
Symptom
Microwave runs but there are visible sparks or arcing inside the cavity, especially near the waveguide cover or metal objects.
Cavity Arcing / Waveguide Contamination
Symptom
Microwave trips the household circuit breaker or blows a fuse when starting a cooking cycle.
Internal Short Circuit or Overcurrent
Symptom
On convection models, convection fan does not run; baking results are poor or uneven.
Convection Fan Failure
Symptom
On grill or combination models, grill function does not heat, but microwave function works normally.
Grill Element Failure
Symptom
Turntable rotates intermittently or with jerky motion; sometimes stops under load.
Turntable Mechanical Obstruction or Weak Motor
